JAMES C. "JIMMY" ORR

James C. "Jimmy" Orr, 87 Years, of Pendleton, IN passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Rawlins House in Pendleton following an extended illness. He was born on July 23, 1937, to Gordon and Julia (Gilliam) Orr in Wise, VA. He attended school at Wise High School. Jimmy worked in the Die Casting Dept. of Guide Lamp, where he retired after 28 years of service. On March 23,1968, he married the love of his life, Myrna (Lester) Orr. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, searching for mushrooms and ginseng, and gardening. Mostly, Jimmy treasured being with his family. Mr. Orr was a member of the South Meridian Church of God in Anderson, the United Auto Workers Union, and the United Mine Workers Union. 

Besides his wife of 57 years, Myrna, he is survived by his children Lisa Lindenmayer (Brad), and Greg Orr (Jill), his grandchildren, Kayla Masters (Jordan), Claire Lindemayer, and Jamie Stinchcomb (Hunter), two great grandchildren, Norah Masters and Tana Stinchcomb. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. 

Cremation has been chosen with a Celebration of Life at the South Meridian Church of God on Saturday, May 10, 2025, with calling at 11:00 am with service to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the South Meridian Church of God or the American Alzheimer's Association.
