HEARING - City Council of the City of Norton, real property tax exemptions for elderly and disabled persons.

NOTICE OF 

PUBLIC HEARING

     The City Council of the City of Norton, Virginia will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, October 6, at 5:00 p.m., in the Municipal Council Chambers, located at 618 Virginia Avenue, N.W., Norton, Virginia.  The purpose of the hearing is to solicit input on a proposed amendment to Section 23-92 and Section 23-96 of the City Code related to real property tax exemptions for elderly and disabled persons.

     Information regarding the proposed amendment is available for inspection on Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the City Manager’s Office, or at www.nortonva.gov. Attendance and comment at the meeting is encouraged and welcomed.
