Jerious Hansford Clark (Jerico), 75, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Norton Community Hospital with his family by his side.
He was of the Christian Faith, a member of the Suther’s Masonic Lodge #259 of Norton, VA, owner of Jerious Clark & Son Logging, Guest River Auto and Jerious Clark Trucking. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. Jerico never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Don Clark and Audrey Short Clark; and his precious daughter, Debra Calhoun.
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Rita Clark; sons, Jerious Clark Jr. (Tina), Donald Clark (Dorinda) and Joshua Vaughan (Amber); grandchildren, Jessica Lane (Joe), Amber Green (Sam), Kimberly Wells (Andrew), Preston Clark (Hannah), Megan Wright (Ethan), Tyler Wright (Kaylee) and Jake Dingus; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Aidan, Isaiah, Elizabeth, Brantley, L.J., Audrey and Riley; two great-great-grandchildren, Ace and Annetta; niece, Maria; nephew, Chancey; sisters, Eva Hunsucker (Jerry) and Sheila Dingus (Marvin) and a host of other relatives and friends. He will really be missed by all his family and friends. The family would like to Thank Dr. Mabe, Christy Sweeney and the ICU Unit at Norton Community Hospital for their care.
Masonic Rites for Jerious Clark will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Mike Hunsucker officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 25, 2026 in the Beverly Cemetery Wise, VA. Family and friends will meet at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.
