City Council of the City of Norton hearing to consider Encumbrances to the 2024-2025 General Fund Operating Budget

PUBLIC NOTICE

     The City Council of the City of Norton, Virginia will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, January 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM in the Municipal Council Chambers located at 618 Virginia Avenue, N.W., Norton, Virginia.  The purpose of the hearing is to consider Encumbrances to the 2024-2025 General Fund Operating Budget in the amount of $216,708.81.  Additional information is available by contacting the City Manager during normal office hours, Monday through Friday between 8:30 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. All attendance and comments at the meeting are encouraged and welcome. 

     The City of Norton in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 US.C.§§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
