APPLICATION NUMBER: 1011741

A&G Coal Corporation of 302 South Jefferson St; Roanoke, VA 24011 is applying to the Virginia Division of Mined Land Repurposing for a Renewal of PERMIT No. 1302048/NPDES 0082048, in order to continue the operations at the following location.

Permit 1302048, located approximately 1.5 miles S of Wise on Bear Creek. This permit consists of 405.31 acres and can be found on the Wise, Virginia USGS quadrangle at North 3528374.6300 and East 3528374.6300.

Drainage and waste water resulting from the permitted operation will be discharged as follows: The receiving streams are Bear Creek and Guest River . There are four NPDES outfall locations associated with this permit. These outfall points discharge in the receiving streams. The Surface Water Hydrology map and the Renewal map showing the permit area may be found in Section 21.2 of the application.

Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposal, or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority, may within 30 days of October 3, 2025 submit written comments or objections concerning this application, and may also request, in writing, that the Mined Land Repurposing Program hold an Informal Conference concerning this application.
