APPLICATION NUMBER: 1011633
   Coking Coal, LLC of 633 Callahan Avenue, Appalachia, VA  24216 is applying to the Virginia Division of Mined land Reclamation for a Renewal/Reissuance of PERMIT No. 1602387, in order to continue the operations at the following location.
     Whitley Fork Strip is located 1 mile North of Dunbar on Potcamp Fork in Wise County, at coordinates North 3,545,871.9800, East 10,241,830.3600.  The permit area is 37.38 acres and is contained on the Appalachia USGS 7.5’ quadrangle map.  The Renewal map showing the permit area is attached in Section 21.2 of the application.
     Drainage and wastewater resulting from the permitted operation will be discharged into Potcamp Fork of Roaring Fork, via sediment pond treating surface runoff.  The discharge location may be viewed on the Renewal Map, which is attached in Section 21.2 of the application.  Additional discharge details are available in the NPDES Application attached in Section 5.15 of the application.
    Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposal, or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority, may within 30 days of March 14, 2025 submit written comments or objections concerning this application, and may also request, in writing, that the Mined Land Repurposing Program hold an Informal Conference concerning this application.
