A&G Coal Corporation of 302 South Jefferson St; Roanoke, VA 24011 is applying to the Virginia Division of Mined Land Repurposing for a Renewal of PERMIT No. 1102058/NPDES 0082058, in order to continue the operations at the following location.
Permit 1102058, located 2 miles NW of Blackwood on Fork Ridge. There are 205.20 acres in Wise County off of St Rt 58 and Rt. 603, located on the Norton 7.5 minute USGS quadrangle.at N 3533728.80 and E 10255416.4000. Renewal Map is located in Section 21.2 of the application.
There are five NPDES Outfalls on the permit, 001, 002, 003, 004, and 005. They are all pond discharges and all discharge into Cane Patch Creek and then into the North Fork of the Powell River.. The discharge locations may be viewed on the SWH Map, which is attached in Section 21.2 of the application.
Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposal, or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority, may within 30 days of December 6, 2024 submit written comments or objections concerning this application, and may also request, in writing, that the Mined Land Repurposing Program hold an Informal Conference concerning this application.
