JAMES THOMAS POTTER

James Thomas Potter, 67, died Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the home of his daughter in Norton, Va. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved his pets. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Ellen Potter, a sister, Geri Tetrick and a brother, Terry Potter.

He is survived by his daughter, Donnie Potter and her boyfriend Eric Ratcliffe of Norton, Va.; a son, Dr. Thomas Potter, Jr. and his wife Lauren of Wise, Va.; grandchildren, Kacie Culbertson and her boyfriend Bret Roberts, Drew Culbertson, Thomas Potter, Harper Potter, Quinton Potter and Abe Potter; a brother-in-law, Bob Tetrick; a cousin, Jack Potter and his wife Barb; and his caregiver, Felicia Ring.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Cremation will follow.
