ALMA JEAN ESTEP

Alma Jean Estep, 90, entered into eternal life to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 4.

She was born in Montgomery WV to Harry S. and Susan Fannin Fish.

She attended God’s Bible College in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a member of the Wise First Church of God and a lifetime member of the W.C.G. She was a pastor’s wife for over 50 years and helped her husband as he pastored Churches of God in 7 states. She also worked as a Social Service Director and Certified Activities Director in 4 states including Heritage Hall in Wise. She loved her Lord first of all and her family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dr. Charles “Chuck” Estep of 63 years; son, Charles “Chuck” Estep, II; brother, Jack Fish; parents, Harry S. and Susan Fannin Fish.

Surviving are her children, Linda Raper and husband Melvin of Neon, KY, Penny Jackson and husband Wayne of Wise, Robin Mathias and husband Warner of Lancaster, OH, Zachary Estep and wife Julie of Junction City, OH; five grandchildren, Nathan Jackson and fiancé Tish Sturgill, Cathy Mayer, Natasha Proulex and husband Anthony, Brittany Stephenson and husband Nathan, Brandon Wilkins and wife Stacy; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister-in-laws, Carol Fish and Jo Lopez; Aunts, Kathy Biggs and Pauline Graham; many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A special thank you to the employees at Heritage Hall Health Care who have become like family to her over the years.

Funeral services for Alma Jean Estep will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the First Church of God in Wise, 702 East Main Street, Wise, with Pastor Gary Maggard officiating. Burial will follow in the Wise Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon till time of services Saturday at the Church.
