JEANETTE CRAFT

June 07, 2022

Jeanette Craft, 91, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Johnson City Medical Center.

Our mom raised 10 children and taught us all the values of life. She would always tell us that if you ever have anything, you need to work hard for it and we took her advice and we all did. She was so loving and kind but never failed to let us know if we were doing something wrong. Our mom had a green thumb when it came to flowers and her yard looked like a picture from a magazine. We would ask her what was her secret and she would say, “No secret, just talk to them and make sure they had plenty of water.” She loved sitting on her front porch in her favorite chair watching nature and especially the numerous numbers of humming birds that would fly around their feeders. Mom worked at the Rocky Fork School House for years and years as a cook. She was a member of the Hopkins Chapel Church.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Ewing Craft, Jr.; four sons, Billy, Gary, Jeffery and Kim and a grandson Chanse Craft.

Surviving are four daughters, Judy Miller of Norton, Nyoko Pitts of Big Stone Gap, Diane Meade and husband Benjamin of Wise and Deborah Craft of Bristol, TN.; three sons, Michael Craft and Zelma Wright of Pound, Daniel Craft and wife Julie of Norton and Christopher Craft of the home; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
