HUILET HUBBARD

Huilet Hubbard, 89, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2022.

A great and kind man Huilet Hubbard went to be with the Lord.

He is survived by his three children Teresa Hubbard of Cloverdale, David Hubbard of Rock Hill, NC, Mark Hubbard and daughter-in law Cathy Hubbard of Roanoke.

He had two granddaughters Callie and husband Drew Sturgill of Roanoke Megan and husband Chance Henry of Fincastle.

He was preceded in death by his wife Edith Hubbard, father Russ Hubbard, mother Edna Hubbard, sister Mildred Roberson, and brother Edward Hubbard.  Surviving brother Peck Hubbard and sister Wilma Carter.

Before his retirement he worked for Old Ben Coal Company until closing.  He and Norris Bolling created B&H Logging where he worked for several years before retiring. He was a proud member of the UMWA.

He always loved being outdoors.  He enjoyed the years of fishing, hunting, and ginsenging with partner and friend Norris Bolling along with many others.
