GAIL MULLINS

January 14, 2022

Rosalind Gail Mullins went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 31, 2021.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 49 years, Dean Mullins, daughter Brandi Bates, husband Robby, granddaughter Sydney Bates, sisters, Janie Riner and husband Duke, Becky Hall and husband Joey, Phyllis Powers, brothers Jeff Stanley and wife Linda, Alvin Stanley and wife Reba and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and her brother Terry Stanley.

Gail worked as a nurse for 20 years in various capacities at the Wise Clinic, St. Mary’s Hospital, doctor’s offices, and as a private duty nurse. She never met a stranger, we marveled at her ability to make conversation with people she didn’t know. Regardless of who it was, she often asked their name and cheerfully inquired about their day. It was a gift. She made a house a home no matter where she lived. She spent hours sitting on her porch greeting her neighbors as they passed by and listening to the sound of the neighborhood children playing. The light of her life was her family and no light shone brighter than the love she had for her granddaughter, Sydney. Some of her happiest days were sharing in the milestone moments of Sydney’s life as well as the simple joys of everyday life. She had an incredible will to live and her daily challenges were always followed by an ever present optimism that today’s difficult day would be followed by a better day tomorrow. Those who knew her, knew never to count her out for she overcame decades of health hardships. Her family and caregivers were touched by her grace and kindness throughout her illness, especially in her final days. Her family celebrates her victory with this verse:

2 Timothy 4:7… I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
