Garden club, Christian School students create garland display for museum
When we prepare ourselves for the holidays, whether with family and friends or far away from familiar people and places, our thoughts return to beloved memories because there’s No Place Like Home!
Members of Town and Country Garden Club combined efforts with fourth graders from Wise County Christian School to create a garland to be displayed at the Festival of Trees at the Southwest Virginia Museum in Big Stone Gap. Photographs of downtown Wise were attached to paper globes which had been colored by the students. Club members Margaret Craft, Kathy Dotson and Frances Sturdavant, assisted by Dennis Sturdavant, assembled and put up the display at the museum.
