INA GENEVA PORTER HESS

Ina Geneva Porter Hess, 92, of Wise, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia.

She was of the Freewill Baptist Faith, a former employee of Cohen’s Department Store in Norton for over 37 years and she also worked at Walmart in Norton.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Campbell L. Porter.

Surviving are her husband and childhood sweetheart, Edward Hess; four children, Fredrick L. Porter and wife Wanda, Larry D. Porter and wife Pam, Jorja Carole Cable and husband Tony, and Brian C. Porter and wife Lois; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six step-children, Mary Ann Cole and husband James, Evelyn Joyce Hess, Edward Hess Jr. and wife Debra, Dixie Lynn Hess, Barbara Alene Clay and husband Randall, and Donald Raymond Hess and wife Leslie; eleven step-grandchildren; fifteen step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; sister, Jeanette Vallalay; and a host of other relatives and friends.
