Both the Norton and Abingdon Barberitos, a fast-casual Southwestern Grille and Cantina with 50 locations across the Southeast, are “Chipping in for a Cure” by hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness Percentage Day. Both Barberitos locations will be donating 10 percent of sales to the Cancer Centers at Ballad Health in Norton and Abingdon respectively on Monday, Oct. 19.

Pink chips will also be served to all guests, and pink mood cups will be included with the purchase of a regular drink. In addition, customers will have the option to add a monetary donation to the charity on their receipt at participating locations. The Norton location is at 746 Commonwealth Dr. while the Abingdon location is at 101 Cook St.

“Barberitos is dedicated to making an impact in our community, and many people throughout our region have had their lives affected by breast cancer,” said area Barberitos Franchisee Chris Bartee.  “In addition to enjoying a fresh and tasty meal, our guests can feel good knowing that they are helping such a worthy cause.” Recognized for excellence, the Cancer Care at Ballad Health brings together physicians and other caregivers from many specialties, including oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists and radiologists. Their combined knowledge provides the best treatment for its patients. Barberitos is a Southwestern Grille dedicated to serving farm-fresh, high-quality food in a fast-casual restaurant environment. Many of the restaurants’ menu items are prepared or cooked in-house daily, including hand-smashed guacamole, home-made salsas, fresh-cut vegetables as well as chicken, steak, pork, turkey, tofu, rice and beans.
