MICHAEL JOE ‘MICKEY’ MARCUS

Michael Joe “Mickey” Marcus, 79, of Coeburn, passed away on October 2, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph, and Alice Marcus.

Mickey is survived by his wife of 53 years, Anna Jean Bell Marcus, children, and their spouses Kevin & Mekesha Marcus and Brian and Susan Marcus, brothers and sister; Pete (Carolyn) Marcus, Larry Marcus, Greg (Sherry) Marcus, and Linda (Jim) McGowan. A special uncle, Charles (Paris) Bemben, and his sister-in-law, Cathy Horton. He also loved his many nephews and nieces.

Mickey was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. It was during this time he developed his passion for aircraft. He was a member of the Coeburn United Methodist Church and loved his church family very much. Mickey was a Brother of Coeburn Masonic Lodge # 97 A.F. & A.M., Companion of the Royal Arch, 50 year Masonic Veteran and 50 year Royal Arch Veteran. One of his greatest joys was doing wood working in his workshop. He never met a stranger and could never pass up telling a good story.

Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 7 at the Greenwood Acres Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites by the Coeburn Masonic Lodge #97 A.F. & A.M. and Pastor Ben Harding will close with services.
