HARRY JEFFREY ADAMS

Harry Jeffrey Adams, 59, of Pound, passed away Saturday June 13, 2020 from the Holston Valley Medical Center-Kingsport, TN after an extended illness.

Jeff was a lifelong resident of Pound. He was a 1979 graduate of Pound High School where he was an excellent baseball player. He was a former coal miner. Jeff enjoyed the outdoors, he was an avid coon hunter and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and ginseng hunting. He also liked riding four wheelers and motorcycles.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Sue Short Adams and Charles Finley Adams; a sister Judy Adams Adler; and nieces, Kelly Betty Lana Adams and Melinda Suzanne Adams.

Survivors include his sisters Della Charlene Mullins and husband Darrell of Norton and Stephanie Suzanne Boggs of Pound; brothers Charles Joseph (Joey) of Pound and David Brett Adams and wife Helen of Virgie, KY; a nephew/adopted brother Hunter Adams; a niece Amy Lee Mullins; nephews Logan Jacob Mullins and Skylar Odell Boggs; and a host of family members and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at 7 pm Tuesday June 16 in the Baker Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Robert Owens and Reverend Willie Stanley officiating. The family received friends from 5 pm until time of services. Graveside services were conducted at 11 am Wednesday June 17 at the Short Family Cemetery on Sawmill Hollow Road in Pound where family members will serve as pallbearers.
