There are some very special people in our community who celebrated birthdays recently and their families made it very special for them even though they couldn’t gather as they normally would. One of the special ladies is Ruby Bentley; who turned 95 years old. Her family celebrated by pulling up in her yard and all of them singing to her and sending well wishes!

Another special birthday was EunaVea Adams; who turned 80 years old. Her family did a drive through party! They all had their cars decorated and dropped off gifts and gave well wishes as they drove by her home.

We would like to wish both of these wonderful ladies a very happy birthday!! We love you!

Let’s all continue to pray for all those working on the frontlines during this virus outbreak. Pray for their safety and for the safety of their families as they continue to work each day to make sure that we are safe and have what we need. Also, continue to pray for all of our local pastors as they are still trying to feed their flocks via online services. It is hard for them to get used to this way of worship, and it is certainly not like a regular church service. However, they are determined to bring the Word to all who can listen, and need our prayers and support! Please remember to attend your regular churches service and to “visit” other churches in our area. If you don’t have a regular church now would be a great time to sit in on services to find where you would like to be when all this is over.

Sadly we have to announce that due to current regulations Pound Heritage Days has been cancelled for 2020.
