Separate sealed Bids for the Family Crisis Center Access Road for the Wise County Board of Supervisors, Wise, Virginia which consists of the construction of approximately 800 linear feet of paved roadway with a cul-de-sac, a roadside ditch, storm drains, erosion and sediment control measures, maintenance of traffic, and all associated items., will be received by Mr. Mike Hatfield, County Administrator, at the Wise County Board of Supervisors, 206 E Main Street, Suite 223, Wise, VA 24293, until 2:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on December 5, 2023, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The Contract Documents may be examined at the Wise County Board of Supervisors, 206 W Main street, Suite 223, Wise, VA 24293; at Thompson & Litton, 103 East Main Street, Wise, VA 24293; and online at TRASCO
(http://www.trascoplanroom.com).
Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS (electronic and/or hard copy) are available for purchase through TRASCO at
http://www.trascoplanroom.com.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on November 21, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. All interested parties are requested to meet the Engineer at the Wise County Board of Supervisors, 206 E Main Street, Suite 223, Wise, VA 24293.
Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.
Each Bidder must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia; Bidders are instructed to review the Code of Virginia, Title 54.1, Chapter 11, prior to bidding.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. The project is funded through the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development.
MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President's Executive Order # 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President's Executive Orders # 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act; and Section 436 of P.L. 113-76 American Iron and Steel. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.
The Contract(s) shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s).
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids if it appears in its best interest to do so.
