PUBLIC NOTICE

The Town of Wise Council will hold three separate public hearings on March 28, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Wise Municipal Building at 501 W. Main St., Wise, VA, on the following items:

1. A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WISE, VIRGINIA ADOPTING THE PROPOSED TEXT AND MAPPING AMENDMENTS TO THE 2022 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE TOWN OF WISE, VIRGINIA

2. AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WISE, VIRGINIA AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS OF THE TOWN OF WISE, VIRGINIA, TO RECLASSIFY THE ZONING DISTRICT OF EIGHT PARCELS OF PROPERTY FROM R-B MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO B-1 NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT

3. AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WISE, VIRGINIA AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS OF THE TOWN OF WISE, VIRGINIA, TO RECLASSIFY THE ZONING DISTRICT OF SEVERAL PARCELS OF PROPERTY FROM B-1 NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT TO B-3 CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND SEVERAL PARCELS OF PROPERTY FROM R-B MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO B-3 CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT

Copies of each resolution and accompanying staff reports and maps are on file in the office of the Town Planner where it may be examined by interested parties during normal business hours. Affected property owners will receive notice by mail prior to the public hearings in accordance with applicable state code. Any person may appear and present their views during any of the scheduled public hearings. All who are interested are encouraged to attend.
