THOMAS KEITH SLEMP

COEBURN, VIRGINIA – Thomas Keith Slemp, 63, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Norton Community Hospital, Norton, Virginia.

He was born in Dickenson County, Virginia; son of the late Rev. Thomas Bill and Glenna Kay Bartley Slemp. Thomas was a member of St. Paul Freewill Baptist Church in St. Paul, Virginia. He was a retired coal miner and enjoyed hobbies such as woodworking, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Gina Slemp; two daughters, Nikki Bryant and husband, Josh of St. Paul, Virginia and Lacey Holbrook and husband, Brandon of Miami, Florida; one step-son, Gary Meade and wife, Trish of Gray, Tennessee; one sister, Patricia Massie of Norton, Virginia; one brother, Gary Slemp and wife, Sharon of Coeburn, Virginia; special uncle and aunt, Morris and Clara Bartley of Norton, Virginia; five grandchildren, Jamison Holbrook, Brylee Holbrook, Grady Bryant, Nicholas Meade, and Hayley Meade; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Thomas Keith Slemp will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Doug Trent and Rev. David Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Jay Holbrook, Travis Duty, Aaron Duty, Daniel Rose, Ethan Rose, and Josh Bryant. Honorary Pallbearer will be Sam Collins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
