WILLIAM GUY (BILL) WRIGHT

William Guy (Bill) Wright, age 91, of Jarrettsville, Maryland passed away on January 12, 2020 at his home.

Born in Andover, Virginia, he was the son of Robert Hudson and Mary Ethel (Vaughn) Wright and husband of the late Eleanor (Hobbs) Wright and the late Betty Ann Wright. He was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Big Stone Gap, Virginia and a member of the Southlanders Choir in Virginia. He was a lifelong Washington Redskins fan and he loved to work in his flower garden.

Bill is survived by two daughters, Melissa W. Dorn of Jarrettsville and her husband, Michael and Theresa W. Bledsoe of Cleveland, TN and her husband, David; one step-daughter, Judy J. Lee of Ormond Beach, FL and her husband, Shawn; grandchildren Suzanne Coleman, Jennifer Rogers, Catie Kress, Lauren Dorn, Adam Long, Erin Hall and Kelly Topping; great grandchildren Jack Coleman, William Coleman, Arabella Rogers, Eric Rogers, Katie Hall, Ryan Hall, Bradley Topping and Jared Topping.

In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by son, Michael William Wright; daughter, Rebecca Wright Long; brother, Harold Hudson Wright; and sister, Rosalie Wright Hatfield.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 18 at noon at First Christian Church in Big Stone Gap with interment to follow at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap.
