ANN B. GREER

Ann B. Greer, 78, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, VA.

After a long career starting as Southern Bell in Norton, and ending as AT&T in Central Florida, Ms. Greer returned home to Coeburn and dedicated the remaining 16 years of her life to her family and service to the Lord at South Coeburn United Methodist Church.

Ms. Greer was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Mary Buchanan; husband Fred Greer; son Keith Greer; brothers Lois, Claude (Buddy), Harold, Sam, Jim, Earl, Roy and Jack Buchanan; sisters Jean Buchanan and Mildred Forrester; and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Greer was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Everyone who got the chance to know her loved her. She was a devout Christian and how befitting to meet our Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday.

She is survived by one son, Alex Greer; one daughter, Lynn Brooks; three grandchildren, Derrick Greer, Stephanie Knight and Ben Brooks; six great grandchildren, Bentley, Arya, Cora, Kaisen, Bricy and Jaxten; two brothers, Joe Buchanan and wife Kathy and Dean Buchanan and wife Olga; two sisters, Martha Bond and husband Curt, and Kay Allen; many nieces and nephews.

Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn is serving the Greer family.
