Clarinet, bassoon featured at Feb. 22 recital

February 20, 2020

The UVA Wise Music Department will host “A Belated Valentine,” a clarinet and bassoon recital, on Feb. 22 at 4:30 p.m.
Featuring a variety of composers including Witold Lutoslawski, Bernhard Crusell, Gaetano Donizetti, Edward Elgar and Carl Maria von Weber, instructor and clarinetist Suzanna Masters will take the stage with student bassoonist Brianna Rife.
This is Rife’s second solo performance on the bassoon at UVA Wise, and she is excited for another opportunity to share her music with the public.

The two performers will be accompanied by collaborative pianist Bomin Park. Park is an instructor of piano at UVA Wise and is completing a doctorate of musical arts degree in piano performance at the College Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati.

The concert, to be held in the Chapel of All Faiths, is free and open to the public.
